Edit of Project Settings Not Permitted Without Start Date

A project newly entered into "Construction" phase will not allow me to add additional contacts, i.e. project superintendent and project manager, unless a start date is selected. These contacts are not always known at time of bidding. A notice-to-proceed is not always issued and available at this early stage of construction. The Contractor needs to upload a project schedule before a NTP will be issued so it is somewhat of a catch-22 if the PM has no access. There is typically some "house cleaning," needed at this stage, getting things in order, and preventing the addition of contacts is limiting and a hindrance. It would be helpful if we were allowed to edit the Project Settings without regard to the Start Date or other such restrictions.

In trying to work this out with the AI, Fin suggested inputting an arbitrary or anticipated date, which I suppose is what I will be forced to do at this time. However, it is not good practice to require speculative information presented as fact which can cause confusion within the team. In the event the requirement cannot be changed, an acceptable alternative may be simply to allow a "TBD" selection or entry.
